Add-ons

I know this blog was created for any ideas in teaching Math in China, but yours truly is currently teaching Grade 7 Science and don't want to create another blog for that. So I'll add it here.

Today, I'll add a website about Newton's Laws of Motion. In this link you can get a lot of ideas about teaching it.

For Egg drop experiment, this link gives you good ideas about how the students can do it by themselves.

Daily Lesson Plans - A must do

I don’t mind writing lesson plans but my mind changes more so often that always twerk my class plans along the way. I think in a new perspective, lesson plans should not be submitted per day basis or a week before it’s taught. It should be handed in after teaching the class or so because then the teacher can write down the whole script of what went well and what should be done better next time. What they should require to submit beforehand is a whole year or semester curriculum map broken into unit plans to create a certain path that will help teachers to decide what daily lesson plans can be created to fit into the needs of the students. In this way, it’s less stressful for teachers and it’s more realistic.

Hey hey hey!

This will be my first post in 2019! I moved to Shanghai in an IB school in August 2018 so things got crazy busy learning new curricula and stuff. And another great news, I gave birth to Mikayla Gabrielle in mid-week of January so you can imagine my life was like prior to that month.

I'll be updating this blog, with more Science stuff this time as I'm currently teaching MYP Science 7. Last semester, I taught DP 10 Math but I need to give that one up in the second semester. Anyways, I'll write something about the Math curriculum of IBDP later.

Anyways, I'll share a lot of new ideas soon!

Back to blogging!

Been a long time since I wrote something here. After graduation of my Master's I just decided to chill and have a break. I do get bored not doing more research and reading and so here I am again. I will definitely write something again about teaching Math in China.

Hear me bubbling again about teaching ; )

My Instagram has been HACKED!

Yes. And I'm upset! Two weeks ago there had been weird requests from group of users that I don't recognized or can't relate to. I was kinda worried but didn't seem to mind it but then few days later my IG was hacked. My email was replaced and my bio was replaced with porn site and of course my profile pic turned into a nude body. My pictures were still intact as i logged in from my phone. So I changed the email and changed my profile pic. But then it was hacked again after few days. And then after a week, I can't log in anymore. I have pictures there with stories that I found valuable, I may not have copies of it already.

Website Complete...

....but work in progress.

I have submitted the website complete button for today but as I mentioned, it will be a work in progress because I still add more content and insights in my professional website. I like to take this website as a tool to reach out teachers out there to pursue what they love to do and continue to be passionate in their work and be proud. I want them to say -

I'm not just a good teacher but a great one!

I want them to appreciate that our students are safe and comfortable learning and getting ready to any challenges that life can bring. I want to empower teachers to be proud of what they can do. If we love what we do, we don't mind the issues, we don't the prejudices, we don't mind if we are underpaid or not supported. What matters most is the joy and meaningful experiences we give our students that can be use to uplift their life and others.
